Tom Taylor, PGA Head Golf Professional
Teaching the game of golf to all abilities has been a lifelong passion of Tom’s. He believes teaching is a partnership and he challenges each student to learn the fundamentals of their own swing. Tom believes that a player who knows their strengths and weaknesses they can improve their game with practice. Through a very calm and simple approach to instructing, Tom has mentored many golfers in the Yampa Valley. Tom enjoys competing throughout Colorado at the professional level and at a friendly game of skins.
Andrew Donner, Director of Instruction & Junior Golf
Andrew Donner returns to Haymaker for his seventh consecutive season bringing with him his skill and passion of the game. As the Director of Instruction, Andrew manages the instruction programs offered. As Director of Junior Golf and Head Golf Coach for the Steamboat Springs Sailors High School team, he is focused on player development for young golfers. Andrew is a key mentor of the PGA Junior League in the Yampa Valley. Mr. Donner has instructed golf at the Reserve Club in Palm Desert, CA and at the Desert Mountain Golf Club in Scottsdale, AZ. Andrew participated in various mini-tours in FL, CA and AZ while competing in regional and state opens and international competitions. Andrew worked in Bogota, Colombia for 6 years and is fluent in Spanish.
A familiar face at Haymaker, he is a strong player and instructor with an experienced and passionate background in the golf industry. Andrew is available for all levels of instruction.
Tim Dever, PGA Apprentice, Tournament Manager
Scott Sperry joined the Haymaker team in 2015 and is a Colorado native. He learned to play golf at 3 years of age at Patty Jewett Golf course where his grandfather was Head Golf Professional, and now a Colorado Hall of Fame inductee. Mr. Sperry worked at Cordillera, then traveled and worked in Phuket, Thailand prior to joining the Haymaker staff. Scott is a very talented golfer and a Level 1 Apprentice in the PGA/PGM program; he will test for his Level 2 certification in the fall. Mr. Sperry is a great addition to the instructors and inside staff alike at Haymaker Golf course.

Shawn’s love of golf stared at age five. His passion for the game has grown through the years; from junior golf to varsity high school competition, Shawn now enjoys teaching his wife and young children to play. He has worked at Red Rocks and Columbine Country Clubs in Denver.
Mr. Fielding has significant professional golf experience and has worked at Red Rocks and Columbine Golf Clubs in Denver. Locally, Shawn enjoyed working for Catamount Ranch and Club before joining the Haymaker team. Shawn is an apprentice in the PGA/PGM program and offers a superior level of service, knowledge and professionalism.
